It is the ninth main installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series. Set in a large entertainment complex, the player takes on the role of a young boy named Gregory, who must evade the complex's hostile animatronic mascots as well as the night guard, attempting to survive until the morning. A free downloadable content expansion, Ruin, was released in July 2023. Security Breach received mixed reviews from critics, with praise towards the atmosphere and visual design, but criticism towards the gameplay and technical performance.
